We are happy and proud to announce you that HeliService officialises its partnership with the University Politecnico di Torino in Italy!
First Italian engineering school founded in 1859, Politecnico di Torino is currently the second best engineering school in Italy, renowned internationally for its prestige and the quality of its programmes. With almost 40,000 students, the university offers 11 diversified areas of specialization, dispatched between Architecture, Design, Engineering and Urban Planning.
After a rigorous selection and a short test internship, we will start to welcome by September 2023 one or two students enrolled in a Master of Aircraft Mechanics to start a practical experience within our maintenance teams in Oberpfaffenofen.
With tailor-made classes at the university, the students will follow the 22-20 roster to get a meaningful application of their classes while working full-time on site. Their working schedule will be in alternated rosters, one on-site while one off, to always have a student working within the team.
Regarding the selection process, three crucial elements are taking into consideration:
⦁ The student validated all modules required to get the license
⦁ Job interviews (HR + Maintenance) to evaluate soft skills
⦁ 1–2-month internship test on-site for practical skills
This partnership is a win/win/win agreement between Politecnico di Torino, its students, and HeliService:
⦁ For the University: offering a one-of-its-kind opportunity to students to obtain Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering and the Aircraft Maintenance License B1, B2 and C concurrently. Over the long term, this would attract more students to enrol the University.
⦁ For the students: obtaining a Master’s Degree and a practical experience without having to choose between the two as it is now.
⦁ For HeliService: reinforcing our workforce with qualified students becoming employees on a long-term basis (3 years in 22-20 rosters) that afterwards could get a permanent contract. It also expands our international recognition.
HeliService is the first company with whom Politecnico di Torino establishes such a partnership. Therefore, this translates into an important gain of visibility and awareness among Aircraft Mechanics students. The exclusiveness of this collaboration then testifies and enhances our reliability in the public realm.
We are looking forward to establishing other trustful partnerships as this one in neighbouring countries, to attract applicants and new talents within our teams!
